  1. Its -4C (25F) here this AM. A little nippy for this time of year! How cold did it get and did you have to cover the garden beds? Seedlings are looking good! Would love a full view of your beds. Are they cattle troughs?

    1. Good morning, Rosalea! No, I did not cover my beds, because we were only going down to 36... the rain that was predicted would have kept things too damp, so I opted to chance it. I will however be covering tonight, as we are expected to go down to 29F. Yes, those new beds are water troughs. We purchased them as seconds, because they didn’t exactly hold water very well. I love bush beans, and last year I found that my body does not cherish the bending over to pick them off the ground. I decided since Leigh (Five Acres and a Dream) Tate, showed us the keyhole garden, I would like to try some permanent beds, as the temporary one I did last year produced excellent bountiful tomatoes. I will share the process of setting them up, very soon! Have a terrific day!

  2. Yeah! I am a garden nerd! I love seeing everyone's set up and get ideas from them. Looking forward to seeing yours. I love the keyhole garden Of Leigh's. I have permanent raised beds and a field garden.

    1. The only thing I am planting in the ground this year, is yellow squash, zucchini, and pumpkin. Everything else is going in the grow boxes, or the troughs.
