November 5, 2022

It has been awhile since we last posted.  Life is going crazy fast these days!

The barn blew down in a storm, and missed our new building by 19 inches!  We were very fortunate and definitely had the guiding hand of God protecting our big investment!  The wind blew just right, and the old barn plunged forward, and now we are working to disassemble the trouble on the ground.

We had really wanted it down, because we didn’t want it to fall on someone, or our wild animals who frequented it, or any other things, so we aren’t sad about it, just hadn’t figured it in the schedule…so it goes!  Lol!

Our new addition to the farm!  A diesel tank that holds 266 gallons of fuel.  We have been concerned about the availability and the raising price of fuel for awhile now, and since everything on the farm uses diesel, well, it’s peace of mind.  I thought we might need to take out a small business loan to get it filled…haha!

The blueberries are tucked in with pine straw for the winter.

Everything is winding down on the ridge.  The fall colors were excellent this year, but they were very early, by nearly three weeks!  The mums this year were very bright also!

Some sunrise pics for y’all to enjoy!  Hope ya get some porch sittin in on this great fall!

Won’t be long till we head somewhere south for the winter, and I certainly hope to catch up on this blog!

Get a great week everybody!

Found this on the internet, and I don’t know who the carver was to give credit, but it spoke to my soul!  Hope y’all enjoy it too!

  1. Your barn! Yikes! Talk about providential, Can you re-use much of the old barn for other projects?

Your photographs are gorgeous. What a beautiful place you have on the ridge. So much to be thankful for! That carved pumpkin says it all.
