Happy Independence Day!
I can’t believe that the month of June completely passed by, and I have not posted!
We have been very busy in the garden, and putting up our bounty!
Early onions put up in the cellar. I have never hung and dried onions before, so the jury is still out on how this preservation method will work for us.
Put up sweet relish, corn salsa, dill pickles, pickled beets, and regular salsa. The shelves in the cellar are filling up.
We have had great success with the potato bed this year. So far I have only dug out a third of the trough, and we are pleased as punch that potatoes are not a fail in the water trough garden bed.
That’s about all we have for now, but some great projects are coming up, and I will be posting on them soon.
Get outside and and get some porch sittin done!
Dino!!! ♥ The onions look AMAZING!! So happy about your potato harvest and boy oh boy did you put UP!! ☺☺ It's a busy time for us gardeners! Hope you're enjoying some porch time! ☺
ReplyDeleteWow! You are so far ahead of me on stocking your pantry! I'm just getting started on pickles. Everything else will likely be coming along this month. It's going to be a busy one!
ReplyDeleteAs Leigh says, you are so far ahead! I just thinned beets and will be making baby beet pickles, the first harvest, other than greens, the odd onion and herbs. Your trough beds look so tidy and easy to care for, I am jealous. You have been a very busy lady. Great to have the shelves filling up. Those are some beautiful onions!
